If you’ve received an email from us, from one of our clients, or from a sending domain we operate on a client’s behalf, this page explains why - and exactly what you can do about it.

Why do you have my details?

You may have reached this page from an email sent by us, by one of our clients, or from a sending domain we operate on a client’s behalf - the opt-out below works the same in every case. Your company appears in publicly available sources - such as the DVSA operator licence register, FORS accreditation records, Companies House, trade directories or your own website - and something there suggested your business might be in the market for fleet-related products or services. Your contact details may also have been verified through a third-party business data provider. What we hold depends on how the business is set up. If it is a limited company, we hold your name, role, work contact details and LinkedIn profile URL because you are a director or decision-maker there. If it is a sole trader or a partnership, we hold generic business contact details only - a main business number, or an address such as info@ or contact@ - and not your name or personal contact details. Email us, or click unsubscribe in any message. Your opt-out is actioned immediately, applies across every client we work with, and is permanent. We keep only the minimum record needed to make sure you’re never contacted again.

Object to marketing

The right to object to direct marketing is absolute - no justification needed, no exceptions. One request covers all our clients, forever.

See what we hold (subject access)

Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We’ll respond within one month, free of charge.

Correct it

If anything we hold is wrong - wrong role, wrong company, wrong person - tell us and we’ll fix it.

Delete it (right to erasure)

Ask us to erase your details. Where you’ve opted out, we keep only the suppression record that stops you being re-contacted.

Restrict or question our processing

You can ask us to pause processing while a query is resolved, and ask us anything about how your data is used.

How to make a request

Email hello@businessprospector.com from the address we contacted, or include enough detail for us to find your record. Opt-outs are actioned immediately; everything else within one month. There’s no form to fill in and no charge.
